Summary

The Lake District boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in England. It is packed with natural wonders, from iridescent lakes to craggy fells, which rise above sweeping valleys. The Lake District is home to peaceful towns and villages, which add to the region’s appeal and really lets visitors stop and relax while surrounded by untamed, natural beauty. Our tour includes a visit to some of the area’s most celebrated gardens including Holker Hall, home to the Cavendish family, Holehird, a garden owned by the Holehird Trust and run by the Lakeland Horticultural Society, Gresgarth Hall home of esteemed garden designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd as well as the topiary gardens of Levens Hall which are world-famous and were created in the 17th-century by Monsieur Guillaume Beaumont, who trained under Andre Le Nôtre at Versailles. We also enjoy a cruise on the glassy waters of Lake Windermere .
